Lasagne pasties


Lasagne pasties is one dish that everyone should have on their dinner recipe list. These are the perfect dish for lunch boxes and perfect for when you don’t know what to make for dinner.
In this recipe, you will learn with a few simple steps how to make a delicious lasagne pasties

PREPARATION TIME
This simple recipe will only take around 30 minutes of preparation time and 45 minutes of cooking times. It will yield 12 servings but you can adjust the quantity of the ingredients as per requirement.

INGREDIENTS             

The ingredients are pretty simple and available at your local grocery store

10.Frozen puff pastry6 sheets
11.Grated cheese1 cup
12.Beaten egg1 medium-sized egg

DIRECTIONS

Step 1.
Place a frypan over medium heat and heat a dash of oil. Cook your onion and garlic until they turn soft.

Step 2.
Add your beef and cook it while stirring until it is well browned. Add in your tomatoes and a tin of water.

Step 3.
Season it with salt and pepper as per taste. Bring it to boil and reduce the heat. Let it simmer for around 3 minutes until it looks thick and rich. Set it aside to cool.

Step 4.
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan and whisk in the flour. Cook at medium heat for a minute while gradually adding the milk and whisking until a smooth sauce is formed. Bring to a boil and add in the grated cheese, salt and pepper. Set this aside to cool.

Step 5.
Bring a shallow pan full of water to boil and cook lasagne sheets a few at a time for 2 minutes or until just al dente. Remove and drain in a colander.

Step 6
Take an 18cm x 25cm baking tin, grease it and line it with a large sheet of baking paper. Allow the edges to hang over.

Step 7.
Place one layer of cooked lasagna sheet at the base of the tin and spoon in the half of the beef and half of the bechamel sauce. Place another layer of lasagna and spoon in the remaining meat and sauce. Top it with a final layer of lasagna sheet.

Step 8.
Cover it with another baking sheet and refrigerate for around 2 hours

Step 9.
Preheat oven to 180C. Defrost puff pastry sheets and cut each one in two halves lengthwise.
Cut the lasagna into squares. Place a square on one end of the pastry sheet and fold it over enclosing the lasagna. Press the edges to seal it.
Continue this with the remaining lasagna.

Step 10. just
place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper or parchment paper. Brush them generously with the beaten eggs and bake for around 18 minutes until they look puffed and golden.
Your delicious lasagna pasties are ready to be served.
