Puerto Rican Coquito

Coquito is a Puerto Rican rum and coconut drink that’s blended for a rich, creamy, and delicious treat. My grandmother and mother used to prepare it during the Christmas season as I was growing up, and the tradition has stayed with me!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup dark rum
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans coconut milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

Step 1

Gather all ingredients.

Step 2

Pour water, milk, rum, and coconut milk into a blender.

Step 3

Add cinnamon and salt.

Step4

Blend coquito mixture until well combined, then refrigerate for at least one hour, or until ready to serve.
