Cream Cheese-Crescent Wontons

Ingredients:

1quart vegetable oil, for frying
1can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent rolls
16teaspoons chive and onion cream cheese (3 oz from 8-oz container)

Steps:

1-In 4-quart saucepan, heat oil to 325°F. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles. Press seams of each rectangle together, then cut in half crosswise. Cut each square in half diagonally.

2-Place 1 teaspoon cream cheese in center of 1 triangle. Fold dough over cheese; press to seal.

3-Tuck top point of triangle down to long side; pinch other 2 points together.

4-Fry dough in 2 batches, about 3 minutes per batch, turning often, until crescents are nicely browned. Drain on paper towels.

Bacon and Cream Cheese Crescent Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • x8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 8 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, bacon, parmesan cheese, onion, parsley and milk.
  3. Open one can of dough and separate the dough into four rectangles. Firmly press the perforations together to seal.
  4. Spread each rectangle with 2 rounded tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture. Cut each rectangle into 6 triangles. (I think this is easiest to do with a pizza cutter.) Roll up the triangles, starting with the short end then tucking the two long ends in.
  5. Place the appetizers on a lined baking sheet. Continue with the second can of crescent rolls.
  6. Brush the tops of each appetizer with the butter then sprinkle the poppy seeds on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10-12 minutes.
  8. Serve warm.

Lobster Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

for 6 servings

  • 12 oz lobster tail(340 g), 4 tails
  • 1 cup homemade breadcrumb(115 g)
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cognac
  • 2 cups whole milk(480 mL)
  • 2 cups sharp white cheddar cheese(200 g)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded comte cheese(150 g)
  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese(35 g)
  • 2 tablespoons mascarpone cheese
  • ½ lb pasta(230 g)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Boil the lobster tails in salted water until just cooked through, about 12 minutes. — Cook 1 minute per ounce (28g).
  3. When cool, remove the meat and dice. Set aside.
  4. Toss the breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon melted butter, 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, and black pepper.
  5. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 7 minutes.
  6. Drain and set aside.
  7. In a large sauce pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  8. Add the flour and whisk, cook about a minute.
  9. Add the Cognac and whisk. The mixture will thicken immediately.
  10. Slowly add the milk, while whisking.
  11. Increase the heat to medium and stir occasionally until it starts to bubble.
  12. The sauce will thicken enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  13. When it reaches this stage, add salt and pepper to taste.
  14. Add the sharp cheddar, Comte and parmesan cheeses, one handful at a time, whisking to incorporate. When one handful is melted, add the next.
  15. When all the shredded cheese has been added, add the mascarpone and stir.
  16. Remove from heat.
  17. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce and ½ of the lobster, reserving about ½ for the top.
  18. Pour into a bake dish, and top with reserved lobster and buttered breadcrumbs.
  19. Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  20. Serve immediately.
  21. Enjoy!
