Make Stuffed Jalapeño Boats

utting the peppers is the longest application in this recipe. First you would need to buy all the ingredients you will need. You need to get about six to twelve medium sized jalapenos, eight ounces of cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, onions, hot and sweet baby pickles, cumin, and seasoned salt. Preheat your oven to three hundred and seventy-five degrees. Chop and dice your onions and pickles.

Being careful not to cut yourself in the process. Measure out all your ingredients which would be eight ounces of cream cheese soften, a quarter cup of shredded cheddar cheese, a quarter cup of chopped onions, a quarter cup of chopped sweet and hot pickles, one half teaspoon of cumin, and a half teaspoon of seasoned salt. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a small hand held mixer. Once combined, take a rubber spatula and scrap the sides of the bowl to make sure you have all the ingredients well combined. Cut the top third of the jalapeno and scoop out the middle using a small spoon or a grapefruit spoon, discarding the seeds and the veins.

Combine all your ingredients in a bowl with a small hand held mixer until well blended. Make sure all your ingredients are well mixed and blended to stuff the jalapenos. One at a time take one jalapeno and a small scoop of dip, place dip inside the jalapeno, making sure that you completely stuff the jalapeno. Place jalapeno on a cookie sheet after they are stuffed.

Place cookie sheet with jalapenos in a preheated oven and bake for twenty minutes. Remove them from the oven and place on a serving plate. Top with the rest of the sweet and hot baby chopped pickles. Serve and Enjoy. Make sure you save the extra dip. It makes an excellent dip for crackers or toast. If you would like a spicier version, you can add your favorite hot sauce or mix some of the seeds and the vein in the filling mixture. The seeds and veins is where all the heat for these peppers.

If you want a milder version, you can use a milder type of jalapeno pepper and make sure you have all the seeds and the vein out. To make them a little better you can dip them in milk and roll them in bread crumbs to give them a crispier crust on them. Make sure you leave the stems in tacked; your guests can use them as handles to hold the jalapeno boats. They will be able to eat all the pepper and have a handle to be able to hold them as they will be hot.

These small appetizers are delicious and very enjoyable. They have great flavor. If you have left over cheese mixer use on crackers, toast or you can always use corn chips and have yourself a creamy cheesy dip. So you have two treats while only making one. Some of you may think that these are the same jalapeno poppers.

They are close but jalapeno poppers are where the jalapenos are cut in half and then stuffed. These are basically whole jalapenos with just one small side removed. Another thing you can do with these jalapeno boats is to add the cut piece back after you have stuffed them and like before dip them in milk and roll in bread crumbs. You can either deep fry them or baked them in the oven to make them a lighter version.
