For pastry,

12. | coarsely grated Swiss cheese | ½ cup |
DIRECTIONS
Making pastry:
Step 1.
Blend the ingredients; flour, butter, shortening, and salt in a bowl with your fingertips or a pastry blender (or pulse in a food processor) just until most of mixture resembles a coarse meal. Gently stir with a fork while adding three tablespoons of ice water.
Step 2.
Take out the mixture and place it onto a work surface. Divide the dough into four equal portions. With a scraper, group the individual doughs and make 4-inch disks. Wrap the dough and chill it for about an hour.
Step 3.
Preheat the oven at around 375°F. Prepare your baking pan with a baking sheet. Place the disk/dough on the baking sheet and bake it in the oven until it turns light brown. Make sure to keep the baking pan in the middle level so that it cooks evenly on all surfaces. Take out the baked dough and let it cool for about 20 minutes.
Make filling:
Step1.
Open the crab shell in two. Take out the crab meat and hack the meat. Throw the shell away.
Step 2.
In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, cream, herbs, seafood seasoning, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add in the cheese and crabmeat and stir well. After it is well mixed, Pour the mixture/filling into the pre-baked pie shell.
Step 3.
Bake the cake for 20 to 30 minutes and turn off the oven. Let is stay in the oven for another 20 minutes to make the texture firm.
Take out your quiche and serve. This quiche can be served warm or cold as per preference.
