Pork Chops Pizzaiola

Pork Chops Pizzaiola

Ingredients:

4 (1 1/2-inch thick) bone-in pork chops

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 large clove garlic, crushed

1 teaspoon fennel seed

1 medium onion, chopped

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 sprigs fresh oregano, leaves chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 cup tomato paste

1 cup red wine

2 cups chicken stock

Directions:

  1. Season chops with salt and pepper. Heat the extra-virgin olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the crushed garlic and stir it around to flavor the oil. Add in the chops and caramelize on both sides, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove the chops to a plate and reserve. Stir in the fennel seed, onions, red pepper flakes, and oregano. Reduce the heat and cook for 7 to 8 minutes.
  2. Add the tomato paste, and cook for 1 minute, then add the wine, and cook for another minute. Stir in the stock and combine well. Slide the chops back into the pan, cover and simmer to finish cooking the chops, about 5 to 6 minutes. Arrange the chops and sauce on a serving platter and serve.

“This salad is good for a side dish or a meal on its own. I make it often for my family and they always enjoy it.”

Ingredients:

1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 (10 ounce) packages mixed salad greens
4 thinly sliced chicken deli meat, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
3 dashes garlic powder1 pinch ground black pepper
2 pinches salt
3 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing

Directions:

  1. Microwave or saute onion and bell pepper until soft; set aside to cool.
  2. In a large salad bowl, combine the onion, pepper, salad greens, deli meat and tomato. Sprinkle with the onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Toss to mix.
  3. Pour on enough salad dressing or vinegar to coat, toss again and serve.

Macarons au chocolat

Ingrédients:

  • 100 g de chocolat à pâtisser
  • 120 g de sucre glace
  • 60 g de poudre d’amande
  • 2 blancs d’oeuf
  • 1 noix de beurre
  • 1 pincée de sel

Pour la garniture :

  • 50 g de beurre mou
  • 60 g de chocolat en poudre

Préparation:

  1. Etape 1Préchauffez votre four à thermostat 6 (180°C).
  2. Etape 2Cassez le chocolat en morceaux et faites-le fondre doucement.
  3. Etape 3Mélangez 80 g de sucre glace avec la poudre d’amandes. Ajoutez le chocolat fondu et remuez.
  4. Etape 4Battez les blancs en neige avec le sel, puis ajoutez le reste du sucre sans cesser de fouetter jusqu’à ce qu’ils deviennent lisses et brillants. Incorporez-les au mélange précédent (vous obtiendrez une texture sableuse).
  5. Etape 5A l’aide d’une cuillère à café, déposez des petits tas de pâte sur la plaque du four recouverte d’une feuille de papier sulfurisé beurrée.
  6. Etape 6Faites cuire 10 à 12 min.
  7. Etape 7Décollez les macarons et laissez-les refroidir sur une grille.
  8. Etape 8Préparez la crème au beurre : dans un bol, travaillez à la fourchette le beurre et le chocolat en poudre pour obtenir une texture homogène.
  9. Etape 9Soudez par deux les macarons avec une couche de crème au beurre.
