Crown Roast

Ingredients needed

  • 10 pounds of pork rib roast

Steps to follow

When all the ingredients are ready, you can proceed with the following steps and you can end up with preparing Crown Roast at the comfort of your home.

  • You should go near the oven and preheat that to a temperature of 375 degrees F. You will need to place the racks on the oven accordingly, so that you can ensure pork will fit perfectly well into it.
  • Next, you will need to take a small bowl for mixing. In this bowl, you can combine garlic, sage, thyme, pepper, and salt. You will also need to think about mashing to break all the herbs including garlic. Then you can add oil and then combine, so that you are creating a paste.
  • You can buy crown roast of pork. It is better if you can buy prepared pork from the butcher. If that is not prepared, you will need to clean the bones with the help of a boning knife. Then you should create a small cut between the rib. Then you will be able to wrap that easily.
  • Now you can rub pork with the herb mixture that you have.
  • Place pork inside a roasting pan. Then you can add the scraps to the bottom of your pan as well. This will provide you the opportunity to add more flavor into the sauce. You will also need to make sure that you are bringing pork up until the room temperature before you proceed with cooking.
  • You can fill the cavity of pork along with apple pecan stuffing you have.
  • Now you will be able to cover the stuffing. This will help you to get the rib bones to foil. You will be able to allow pork to roast within the oven for a duration of around 2.5 hours. You should further keep it inside the oven for a period of around 30 minutes. Then you can remove the foil, so that you can brown the stuffing.

Now you can serve Crown Roast you prepared along with Apple Pecan stuffing as well as gravy.
