Almond Cloud

Start your day off with a nutritious boost! This banana smoothie with yogurt and milk is the perfect way to fuel your morning, blending creamy vanilla yogurt with the natural sweetness of ripe bananas and almonds for a deliciously energizing treat that offers a blend of vitamins, minerals and protein.

Ingredients:

2 cups fat-free milk (skim milk), or low-fat milk
1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
2 large banana
1 dash vanilla extract
10 almonds, crushed
1 cup ice cubes, or less as needed

Directions:

  1. Combine bananas, vanilla yogurt, almond milk, almonds, sweetener (if using), and cinnamon in a blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Add a few ice cubes for a colder, thicker texture if desired.
  3. Pour into glasses, top with a few crushed almonds or a sprinkle of cinnamon, and enjoy immediately.

Notes:

  • For a vegan version, use plant-based vanilla yogurt and maple syrup.
  • Add a scoop of protein powder or a spoonful of chia seeds for extra nutrition.
  • Roasted almonds add a richer flavor try toasting them lightly before blending.
