Step 1. In a large skillet, heat the butter. Preferably use a cast iron skillet, on medium heat. Add in the onions and sauté the onions until they turn translucent.
Step 2. When the onions are done, add in your potatoes, and corned beef. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and with a spatula or any tool, spread out evenly over the pan. Increase the heat from medium-low to medium-high or high and press down the mixture with the help of a spatula.
Step 3. Let the mixture cook. Do not stir the potatoes and corned beef. Cook until it turns brown underneath. You can use the metal spatula to check. If you hear a sizzling sound, it is good. Once it is completely turned golden brown underneath, flip it so that the other side can turn brown too. If the mixture sticks to the pan, you can add a little more butter to the pan.
Step 4. Once both sides are nicely browned, add in your freshly chopped parsley.
Step 5. Your corned beef hash is ready. For a hearty breakfast, you can serve it with fried or poached eggs.

Preparing the salad;

Making pastry:
Step 1.
Blend the ingredients; flour, butter, shortening, and salt in a bowl with your fingertips or a pastry blender (or pulse in a food processor) just until most of mixture resembles a coarse meal. Gently stir with a fork while adding three tablespoons of ice water.
Step 2.
Take out the mixture and place it onto a work surface. Divide the dough into four equal portions. With a scraper, group the individual doughs and make 4-inch disks. Wrap the dough and chill it for about an hour.
Step 3.
Preheat the oven at around 375°F. Prepare your baking pan with a baking sheet. Place the disk/dough on the baking sheet and bake it in the oven until it turns light brown. Make sure to keep the baking pan in the middle level so that it cooks evenly on all surfaces. Take out the baked dough and let it cool for about 20 minutes.

Step1. Open the crab shell in two. Take out the crab meat and hack the meat. Throw the shell away.
